One more round of PixelPlex Scholarship is now finished. We received great joy from reading the applicants’ essays and are happy to announce Andrew Timmins the winner of the competition.

Andrew Timmins’ essay “The Effect of Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things on Renewable Energy Adoption” stands out from all the writings we received and is the winner of the Spring-Summer 2021 contest.

Andrew studies sustainable energy systems at University of Michigan where he gained valuable insights on the topic of energy resources. In his article, Andrew explores how new technologies — blockchain, AI and IoT — can be applied to make the shift to renewable energy smoother and more efficient.

He suggests leveraging the benefits of all three technologies simultaneously to achieve the highest productivity and safety of smart energy devices:

“These three complementary technologies – internet-of-things, artificial intelligence, and the blockchain – will together help us transition toward a more sustainable society where renewable energy production can meet the majority of our energy needs.”

Andrew succeeded in the attempt to convey his idea in the best way possible and we believe that this concept has great potential. We congratulate Andrew with the victory in our competition and want to announce that the Fall-Winter 2021 Scholarship has already begun. So, hurry up and choose the theme for your essay!
