Business opportunity

The client uses Bitmain’s Antminer S19 for Bitcoin mining. Yet, its firmware comes with drawbacks, functioning below optimal capacity and limiting modifications to its mode. It also has a high energy consumption.

Seeking to overcome these hurdles, the client explored various market alternatives, such as VNISH, Awesome Miner, and Brains, enabling the overclocking of Bitmain’s Antminer to boost equipment efficiency. While these options enhance mining output, they carry a downside: a 2% commission fee on mining earnings.

Through strategic modifications to Bitmain's Antminer, our team successfully enhanced energy efficiency without compromising the mining pools' optimal performance. Our efforts led to a significant improvement in the energy efficiency ratio, reducing it from 29.5 J/TH to 23.2 J/TH. It's important to note that a lower J/TH ratio indicates better energy efficiency, making this reduction a notable achievement in optimizing mining operations.

Furthermore, these modifications enabled the client to avoid the commission fees that third-party firmware solutions, designed to improve the Antminer’s efficiency, typically require.

The delivered firmware enables the client to devise various mining strategies tailored to their specific needs. This provides them with complete control previously unavailable with Bitmain's original solution.

Now, the mining farm administrator has the ability to adjust the mining pool’s energy efficiency parameter (J/TH) of the mining pool to enhance its profitability. For example, mining at a higher speed is feasible when electricity costs are lower. Conversely, in times of higher electricity prices, switching to a more economical mode is possible.
